Hope Again Development Organization (HADEO) is a registered non-governmental and nonpartisan organization. It aims to address the unique issues and challenges faced by farmers, youth, and women in the Teso sub-region and beyond.

Our Key Projects
At HADEO, we are committed to empowering communities through select impactful programs that promote education, economic independence, sexual education, and environmental sustainability. Here are some of the key initiatives that drive our mission forward:
1. Functional Adult Literacy Programme (FAL) – Since 2011
Empowering individuals through education for a smarter and brighter future.
2. Get Ahead Training (G=Gender, E=Entrepreneurship, T=Together)
Training illiterate individuals to build successful businesses
3. SOFALSACCO (Soroti Functional Adult Literacy Savings and Credit Association)
A savings and credit cooperative for FAL members
4. Climate Change Project (Pilot Program)
Promoting sustainable agriculture and environmental responsibility

Raising awareness in schools and communities
Project Snapshots
A member of Opuyo, she is a widow with two children. She runs a successful produce business, supported by loans from our SACCO. She supplies cassava to Kampala and has been able to pay university fees for one of her children.
This is the Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) formed by one of our dedicated community groups. Through collective savings and small loans, members support each other in building sustainable livelihoods and financial independence.
Recruitment of new members and the formation of new FAL cluster groups in Soroti and Ngora.Through FAL, members gain essential skills to enhance their businesses, access financial opportunities, and improve their overall quality of life.
Ongoing follow-up on client performance within the Functional Adult Literacy (FAL) program in Soroti and Ngora. The follow-up ensures that participants are empowered to apply their knowledge for sustainable success.

The Way Forward for HADEO
Strategic Planning Workshop 2025

She is passionate about community empowerment in Uganda since 2001, and finds energy in the warm welcome from local groups and the transformation of women’s lives.
